There were some really funny laugh out loud moments, and then some sad moments, and then some stupid ones All in all it was pretty good I probably would have enjoyed it if I were a teenager, given that the heroine acted 14 through most of the book The hero was great however.

3 stars.A pleasant Regency read The heroine is one of those naive ing nue type The hero is a returned Waterloo soldier and a cousin of the heroine s father, who is a Shakespearean purist Mildly entertaining if you like a romance liberally sprinkled with Shakespearean quotes.

I love Susan Carroll s books from the 80 s, Brighton Road The Sugar Rose and this one They are so funny and there is romance without intimate details, something that I prefer and I didn t care too much about the suspense around the end of the book so I give 4.5 stars.
