It s hard to believe that you could learn to be a better person from a standard poodle, but that is exactly what happened Buddy has lived anything but the pampered life With neglectful and abusive owners his life is anything but happy Yet he never has anything negative to say and is always looking on the bright side After all his suffering here on Earth one would expect that his place in Heaven is secured However it is his big heart that might cause him to lose that place This story cause It s hard to believe that you could learn to be a better person from a standard poodle, but that is exactly what happened Buddy has lived anything but the pampered life With neglectful and abusive owners his life is anything but happy Yet he never has anything negative to say and is always looking on the bright side After all his suffering here on Earth one would expect that his place in Heaven is secured However it is his big heart that might cause him to lose that place This story causes such a wide range of emotions I never knew if I would be crying or laughing from page to page After talking to my girls, ages 7 10, about the book they decided that they wanted to hear the story Although a few spots were a little hard for them to hear they also loved the story It was wonderful to be able to read with them and then talk about what was happening in the book Their insight was surprising.Although there are wonderful lessons to be learned here the story is never preachy It is beautifully written story

Buddy s Tail is the story of friendship and the bond between dogs and humans That particular bond can be a problem, Buddy finds, when he is sent on a mission Buddy s tremendous capacity to love gets him into great trouble and it is up to his friend MacKenzie to rescue him Not your typical animal story, even better
