This was a cute, quick read from a new to me author I loved the premise the high school reunion as I m a fan of fanning those old flames While this one wasn t exactly like that heroine harbored a crush, hero saw her as just a friend , it still had that nostalgic feel that I love. While I really like the idea of these being a series of different couples on the same weekend or so I assume , I don t think the kinks of that quite got ironed out There were pieces that were dangled in front of our faces, but we didn t have enough details on to get the whole picture I understand the blanks will be filled in during the later novellas, but it still had me tilting my head a bit while reading.I enjoyed the hero, Nathan, and the side characters, Tess and Bree, but the MC in this one wasn t my favo...

Slick s review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews4.5 StarsSometimes you read a book and you know immediately you ve read the author before That was the case with Most Likely To Succeed, by the end of the first chapter I knew I d read this author and I knew that I d loved what I read but I couldn t remember any of the titles I know that sounds bad, but I read a lot so I immediately hopped on and found out that yes, I had indeed read everything she d written Kate Davies has an easy style that puts you immediately at ease and immerses you into the story I found myself very caught up in this book, with these characters, and the characters I m sure we ll see in the next two books of this series This series takes place at a ten year high school reunion and although my 10 year reunion is long, long past I remember attending and still remember how little some people had changed emotionally and maturity wise and also how the cliques of the past remained the cliques of the future.Kelsey was voted most likely to succeed in high school yet circumstances beyond her control have left her feeling less than worthy and dreading her 10 year reunion Her best ...

Kelsey is not happy with where she is in life Voted by her class as Most Likely to Succeed, she is still living in her hometown tending to her family s business Her high school reunion is coming up and she is not thrilled about attending, but her best friend is a coordinator and convinces her to go Well, actually like bullied her to go.Nathan hasn t been back to his hometown since he left after graduation He works abroad and doesn t know where his job will take him from month to month, so he is surprised when he finds himself confirming his attendance He admits that the only reason he wants to go it s to see Kelsey again Although never romantically involved in high school, they were lab partners and shared a love for knowledge and a desire to succeed Of course, he also had a crush on her and can t wait to see her again. Most Likely to Succeed is a light, romantic read with many Awww moments that will have you grinning all throughout the book I liked Kelsey s character very much Although she thought she was a failure because she stayed behind working the family business, she still did her j...

he Plot The Girls Most Likely To are connected stories that happen around a high school reunion The first story, Most Likely to Succeed is about Kelsey Moore who was one voted the girl most likely to succeed but had to give up her scholarship to stay in town and help her mother run the family s flower shop. And 10 years later she s still in town in the same dead end job with the reunion looming ahead of her Not to mention seeing her high school crush and fellow nerd Nathan Barrow, who went on to become all the things Kelsey did not.The second story, Cutest Couple, is about one of Kelsey s best friends, Bree She was voted cutest couple with her boyfriend Marc But then they broke up around prom when Bree found out he had joined the army something that hit Bree pretty bad as her dad was also a soldier who died overseas leaving her and her mother alone.Ten years later they see each other again and Marc finds out that all those years go, when he left, Bree was pregnant with their son Ben and due to some misplaced letter, he never found out about it First Date On Most Likely to Succeed It s fun, I do wish Kelsey would get over herself already. On Cutest Couple Big misunderstanding plot, full steam ahead Second Date On MLtS Mmm yeah, are they ever going to do anything other than have sex On CC Okay, that s the flimsiest excuse ever Again, wish these people woul...

What happens when life doesn t take the path you thought it would What happens if it does but you miss someone from your past and don t know how much until you see them again Nathan has been wondering why he is taking his limited down time to come to his high school reunion when he runs in to his former lab partner that he had a bit of a crush on back in school She s still as attractive as ever but he gets the feeling she is hiding something from him He begins to pursue her for a fun weekend but is that all he really wants or is there something there that they never acted on all those years ago He s very sexy and when he puts his attention to her and winning her over there is something so sweet about his ability to see who she really was behind the mask she tried to show him.Kelsey is the classic case of someone who doesn t understand her own true worth She was voted most likely to succeed but here she is still in her hometown and only working at her mom s flower shop She doesn t see that what she does truly is meaningful nor does she see how much she has accomplished even though it isn t exactly what she saw for her life all those years ago She is still crazy about Nathan and ends up deciding to act on those desires even while feeling guilty that she isn t what she thought he deserved or thought she was She s got a lot of self worth issues but Nathan takes this and manages to find a way to get her to open up to him about everything She really does end u...

This was a really cute friends to lovers romance mixed with a second chance love story sort of Kelsey and Nathan were lab partners and friends back when they were in high school They both had crushes on the other, although they never acted on it Now ten years later, they are brought back together by their high school reunion She s afraid to admit that although she was once voted Most Likely to Succeed, she hasn t done anything with her life, unlike Nathan who went off to do amazing things The chemistry between Kelsey and Nathan is ridiculous and they are so cute together the moments they spend together, whether in bed or out, are sweet and definitely worth the ten year wait However, the drama that threatens to keep them apart is a little forced and could have easily been changed out for something else It would have been easier to believe Kelsey and Nathan fighting over him not sticking around, then her getting hurt that he wanted to see if h...

For book reviews, please check out www.readingtsinoy.blogspot.comKelsey feels like a failure, she has never lived up to everyone s expectations much less her own Upon graduating from high school, this brilliant student could only forego her waiting scholarship for her mother s security and sanity after her father walked out on them Ten years later she s still tied to her mother and their small flower business Nathan went off to do everything he set out to do after high school Everything is going well for him except there s still no one permanent in his life His work brings him to every corner of the world so it is quite difficult to have a relationship Then he sees Kelsey. The reunion goes off without a hitch, especially for Kelsey and Nathan who than reconnects Eventually though Nathan has to know the truth about Kelsey, and when he does, will Kelsey be ready to let ...

This story grew on me I was almost ready to put it down halfway through, but by the end of the book I was enjoying it and wanting to read the next in the series.I liked the high school reunion set up and it was believable to me that Nathan and Kelsey lost touch and Kelsey felt ashamed for never going on to school I liked the nerdy features of Nathan s personality.I think the biggest flaw of the story was that it felt rushed to me I know, I know, it s a short story, but Kelsey s self confidence issues related to her job and schooling were actually pretty big and I felt like a lot of the growth and self understanding I wanted to see happened off page between the last chapter and the epilogue Probably the strongest aspect of the book was that Kelsey and Nathan felt like real people They made real mistakes and responded to those mistakes like real people would This was best shown in the ...
