Between the Polk Lillard book Montessori from the Start and this one, I think there is a stark contrast in the approach to the child I feel Montessori is farrespectful of individual variation and developing the relationships between adults and children I felt Polk Lillard was so scientific in terms of her needs of the child that it left parents and children at an arms length Polk Lillard hadspecific activity and toy recommendations, Montessori had better development and relati Between the Polk Lillard book Montessori from the Start and this one, I think there is a stark contrast in the approach to the child I feel Montessori is farrespectful of individual variation and developing the relationships between adults and children I felt Polk Lillard was so scientific in terms of her needs of the child that it left parents and children at an arms length Polk Lillard hadspecific activity and toy recommendations, Montessori had better development and relationship information

A must read for all parents and to be parents It is a simple read elucidating the needs of a newborn child The book provokes the thought of the reader about what the child has gone through during conception and what he or she goes through during his years of development Dr Montessori also gives a few teasers as to what parents and caregivers should expect from an Education system for their child.
