This was a fun, naughty read A naughty read that doesn t make you hide And isn t that the truth Hiding your naughty stories Reading something maybe you shouldn t be reading in the office Goodness knows I ve done that from time to time I Know What You Read is a quick read, a novella that has a really nicely developed story line with complete characterizations That in itself always makes me smile Novellas are notorious for inconsistencies so when I come across one that the author took the This was a fun, naughty read A naughty read that doesn t make you hide And isn t that the truth Hiding your naughty stories Reading something maybe you shouldn t be reading in the office Goodness knows I ve done that from time to time I Know What You Read is a quick read, a novella that has a really nicely developed story line with complete characterizations That in itself always makes me smile Novellas are notorious for inconsistencies so when I come across one that the author took the time to develop, it always makes me happy, and when it is naughty, even better After all, I am not a fan of smut and without a clean story line, that s what you are left with This is the story of Jade A single woman working as a community journalist for a newspaper She is also a girl who still has hope and believes in a happy ever after Even after a disastrous relationship with a man who did nothing but lie to her We are introduced to her world through her co workers who are nicely described and characterized as well Her out of touch boss, the nosy gossipy receptionist, her gorgeous but gay buddies, and a self absorbed admittedly cheating new sports writer who pursues her with a vengeance. But Jade has a secret She loves to read erotica at her desk And that is where the story takes off Someone knows and that someone let s her know they know by leaving her notes and storiesI Know What You Read.We have mystery, a bit of blackmail, an annoying jerky pursuer, and naughtiness all wrapped up in to a very nicely balanced story line The first half of the story delivers trepidation with the build up of who is blackmailing Jade with her wading through her day to day and trying to figure out who this person is The second half is an action packed roller coaster full of smexiness.Definitely a story you will like and definitely will leave you smiling

When I first looked at the title of this book and then read the little blurb telling me what it was all about, I thought to myself, Wow, that s exactly what I think when I read some of my smutty books Then I remember I have a book blog and everybody in the world knows exactly what I read at any given moment on any day just by googling itNone the less I would think that there are many readers out there that have that shelf of books that you wouldn t broadcast to everyone you know I am no When I first looked at the title of this book and then read the little blurb telling me what it was all about, I thought to myself, Wow, that s exactly what I think when I read some of my smutty books Then I remember I have a book blog and everybody in the world knows exactly what I read at any given moment on any day just by googling itNone the less I would think that there are many readers out there that have that shelf of books that you wouldn t broadcast to everyone you know I am not least bit ashamed of what I read and why, however sometimes there are things that you just don t want to have a conversation about. An example I had a conversation about Fifty Shades of Grey..with my mothershe wanted to borrow it.That kind of awkward exchange is where the basis of this story comes What if someone found out that you read all those naughty stories out in the inter webs and not only blackmailed you about it, but actually lived some of those fantasies out on youbut you have no idea who it is This story was fun in a stalker kind of way.And let me explain that sentence Is it okay what happened in some of the scenes in this book I think I have to say no because it was blackmail, and stalking.along with some breaking and entering HOWEVER, I have to say that the fact that someone was taking her fantasies and making them pop right out of those unmentionable pages was HOT I think that is what describes this whole book hot I can relate to the character, I can see it happening in real life and I ll be honest I wish it would happen in real life I really enjoyed this story and I think that even the most conservative of readers wouldn t mind getting taken away by this one Originally poster on my Blog

The line Ever wonder what some people might think if they knew what you read is the eye catcher Look at the cover close and then get the idea Yes it was funny to start When you are introduced to Jade and her office friends you will definitely get a laugh Things are told and built around the fact that if you read erotica HIDE it Everyone thinks Jade is a nice girl and she is sort of embarrassed by what she reads Erotic stories are found on her desk with notes that say if she doesn t sit The line Ever wonder what some people might think if they knew what you read is the eye catcher Look at the cover close and then get the idea Yes it was funny to start When you are introduced to Jade and her office friends you will definitely get a laugh Things are told and built around the fact that if you read erotica HIDE it Everyone thinks Jade is a nice girl and she is sort of embarrassed by what she reads Erotic stories are found on her desk with notes that say if she doesn t sit there and read them, they will pop up somewhere else in the office with her name on them That alone is hot and steamy to me.NOTE this is a funny, naughty book with a little bdsm thrown in If you don t like it, please don t read it I thought it was a hoot I enjoyed the gay office mates and Jade especially Totally my kind of story It was not a short story it was a novel about 200 pages and I would say in estimate, 100 are the steam Probably the best steam that doesn t involve hot wax and bruises in the book Grab it up if you enjoy this genre Grab it and be proud Mostly grab it because it is naughty, the kind that doesn t involve pain and make you cringe.I was surprised to check the author out and see she hasbooks on , a few short stories and all equally naughty

I picked this up because I liked the title which sounded intriguing to me, but I guess I didn t read the synopsis very well or I would have known that this book was mild erotica The story was okay It is about a reporter who likes to read erotica and occasionally does so at work, someone finds out and then the mystery is on I guess I have becomeprudish in my old age as I had to skim over a lot of the erotic scenes in the later chapters.
