    Great for beginnersThis book was great for me It s a perfect beginners guide for green smoothies And though I say green many of them are not green despite containing greens Virtually all contain fruit and most contain nut milk So they aren t totally hardcore Actually the author even offers some recipes for easing into green smoothies that are even milder and friendlier Yes, green drinks can be bitter They are all made with average every day ingredients you can get at the grocery st Great for beginnersThis book was great for me It s a perfect beginners guide for green smoothies And though I say green many of them are not green despite containing greens Virtually all contain fruit and most contain nut milk So they aren t totally hardcore Actually the author even offers some recipes for easing into green smoothies that are even milder and friendlier Yes, green drinks can be bitter They are all made with average every day ingredients you can get at the grocery store with the possible exception of some of the optional superfoods like maca and goji berries But even those I had no trouble finding at my local food co op The recipes are good and the author encourages experimentation while laying out ideal formulas for the ratios of ingredient types My only wish is that nutritional info was included For those of us getting into green smoothies for weight loss, info on protein, fiber, calories, vitamins etc would be helpful Even if it was only a general table for common ingredients in the beginning and not for each recipe Still, I recommend it and use it frequently The kindle version has a really helpful index by ingredient in the back that links back to the recipes Useful
