I was given an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest reviewI have to say going from Alora Kate's Four Season's series which I adored to to this new series you can instantly see the difference The writer has grown in her writing style and stretched into than sweet and a little bumpy love So first congratulations on setting your sights on something new and totally mastering it This book is not only a love story with some smoking characters but has a mystery that isn't as easily figured out as a lot of them it really keeps you guessing for a good portion of the book I loved this story and all the characters I can't wait to read of The Aster Lake Series

Loved this book Couldn't put it downForever My Home is the first book I've read by Alora Kate When I was offered the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review I downloaded the sample on first to see if I thought I would like it Well that sample had me hooked It's a book you don't want to put downFor me this book is just the right mix of romance suspense and even a little comedy The beginning starts off suspenseful and I found myself very curious to find out why Adalyn was having to start her life over somewhere new Things calm down for a little while as Adalyn settles herself into a small town with a lake surrounded by mountains However the suspense picks back up later and then I was in for a bit of an emotional roller coaster rideWow What a cast of characters I love them all and they are very well written Adalyn is one of the main characters and the story is centered around her and Rudd Margie Madi and Bailey are probably my top three side characters Also I have to say that I love Madi so much She is Adalyn's new friend and she is so funny I was really excited to see that the next book in this series will be about her YayThe story is told from both Adalyn and Rudd's point of view which worked really well for me Plus Adalyn's point of view was the only one in first person It was a little different but between that and the clearly marked transitions it helped me keep it straight There were some grammatical hiccups that disrupted my reading but it wasn't excessive All in all this is a wonderful story I look forward to the next book in The Aster Lake seriesPlease note that I did receive a gifted copy of this book in exchange for an honest review It didn't alter my opinion of the book in any way

I did receive this book as a free ARC book in exchange for an honest reviewThe main character of the story is Adalyn Not a common name different than other storiesAdalyn has lived with her parents in mainly a sheltered life not experiencing much that life has to offer Adalyn never thought much of it Adalyn's parents one day come to tell her to leave drop the car get a new car down the road find some place you like to live Don't ever contact us again How does one young lady do that? Adalyn's parent's gave her no other instructions other than to leave She doesn't know what to do The beginning starts off suspensfull as we don't know why her parent's told her to leave Adalyn winds up in a small town that has 999 people living there Adalyn finds work at a small mom pop hardward store where she instantly connects with their daughter Madi who is loud extermely outgoing As Madi has lived in the small town her whole life she helps find Adalyn a small apartment connected to a town's police officer Rudd Archer Who is uite in his own right Rudd has a vocabulary of few words I wish he wasn't as rude harsh with his language back to Adalyn and others Adalyn Rudd are instantly drawn to each other Adayln begins to cook for an elderly widow neighbor who at first is very harsh with her but then he loves her cooking and begins to pay for meals from her Adayln doesn't want to take his money of course but they do work out a trade The language at some parts I didn't enjoy some F you's and a few other words I didn't think were necessary

Forever My Home was an intense guessing game from the prolong on that suckered me right in til the very last pageThis amazing fantastically well written story was unputdownableA beautiful story about a young well sheltered girl Adalyn having to leave the only life she's ever known for reasons she has no idea why or what she'll do all she knows is what she's told and no matter how scared she is she heads out to the unknown As time and distant goes by she stops and plants roots in a small town and although she doesn't trust easily and is unsure in the real world she's staying strong and starts a new life This is were the sexy cop Rudd comes in when she rents his apartment upstairs in his home He's got a chip on his shoulders and is curious of the new girl in town with a blank background I don't want to give any spoilers away it's heartfelt sweet mysterious with many twist and turns I did not see coming and at one point I wasn't sure what was going to happen The plot was fantastic I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to find out what was going to happen The sexual tension was delicious It was this intense mixture of confusion frustration lust attraction and desire The build up was just perfectThe ending was heart racing and came full circle with a fantastic conclusion

Ink Angels Book Blog received an ARC in exchange for an honest review“Forever My Home” will hook line and catch you This amazing book by Alora Kate will take you places you weren’t expecting The book started off slow and tossed its readers into a discombobulated mess But that’s just it Once I realized how much of a mystery it began with I just couldn’t put the book down The characters the areas the attitudes All of it was addicting Normally I am not one to like these types of book however I am pretty positive I will own every book in this seriesThe story revolves around Adalyn and Rudd Adalyn is a sweet girl that lived a sheltered life Rudd is a rough and rugged sheriff that keeps to himself Adalyn deals with her own demons and tries to hide secrets of who she really is while Rudd faces his own demons every day and just pushes them aside blocking out all unnecessary things Other characters in the book really make it pop Madi is the loud mouthed BFF Rocco is the smashingly sexy bartender and Bailey is the sweetest thing since your grandmother’s sugar cookies There are plenty people where those come from My suggestion is kick up your feet and get ready for the ride because once you startyou won’t want to stop

I was given this as an ARC for an honest review When I read the by line for this book I was highly interested It was different and to be honest I couldn't put it down You meet Adalyn with her parents telling her she has to leave All they will tell her it's best for her safety and they give her a few words of wisdom Next you see Adalyn and she's found a home in a new small town miles away from where she started She's doing exactly like her parents told her to She has no clue but she trust her parents so this is a mystery for her as well as for the reader I really enjoyed the start of the book and toward the middle the mystery of her past got pushed in the background as Rudd and her relationship take off He has a few changes in his life that take the spotlight and her past is only mention a few places The ending was uick and wrapped everything up nicely however I just felt it was too uick However I would recommend this as an enjoyable read with a light hearted mystery Reviewed for HeadTripping Books by Amy Steele

Adalyn lived a sheltered life with her parents Home schooled and kept close to her parents until the day her mother tells her she needs to go To keep going until she is far away With new eye and hair color a whole new identity Adalyn ends up in the small town of Aster Lake Finding out it is hard to fly under the radar in a small town Adalyn settles in with her new friend Madi A new job and soon her own apartment Rudd Archer a police officer in Aster Lake tends to keep to himself Yet something about his new tenant keeps drawing him back He knows she is hiding something You are drawn into the story from the first page What big secret is Adalyn's parents hiding For being so sheltered Adalyn finds herself trying to adapt to life on her own Madi doesn't let her keep to herself Rudd was different He life changes when a secret from his past comes forward One ne never knew Then he finds himself unable to keep away from Adalyn Plenty of suspense and romance I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review

Adalyn has led a sheltered life Now she's on the run and doesn't even know what she's running from She's on her own for the first time in her life and figuring out who she can trust is a challenge all it's own When she finds a small town to hide out and start a new life in she rents an apartment from perhaps the only man who can uncover her secretsRudd Archer knows something is up with the new girl that's moved into town but he isn't sure it's good When he starts to dig he might uncover than he bargained forand falling in love was certainly not part of the planIf you've read anything by Alora Kate before you'll know that this story is a departure from her debut series Forever My Home is the first in the Aster Lake series and is a YA Romantic Suspense The story line is uniue and although it could use a slightly honed editing run through it's definitely a story I'd like to follow up on in the next book
