An engaging story of personal goals and dreams which change with age What Ed needs and wants in his 20s isn’t necessarily what he strives for in his 40s and a school reunion brings this to light in a very dramatic way I enjoyed how the characters developed throughout the book as they revealed different parts of their personality to the various people they conversed with finally resulting in acceptance and hope by the finaleThis is the fourth book of Tasha’s that I have read and I’ve enjoyed them all for different reasons I’m just sorry it took so long for this one to make it to the top of my TBR pile

This was not my usual genre of books but one that I am glad to have read The story is about a man a man who thinks he has a happy successful life a life far removed from the lives of the people he grew up withTo be honest he was a fairly judgemental man who had become a bit smug and a little bit bored with his life Approaching 40 he felt it would be a good idea to plan a reunion of the friends he grew up with in a small Lincolnshire village far removed from his new life in London And that's when things began to change and not always for the better He finds out a long kept secret that has far reaching repercussions and makes him unsure of everything he thought he knew While he and many of those close to him are rethinking everything they thought they knew he begins to learn a lot about himself and the man he was the man he could have been and eventually the man he became A lovely gentle book about life love and secrets

A gentle story of a man whose life enters a crisis when he learns a secret from his past and who then learns a lot about himself along the way
