I listened to this Trilogy via Audible I think this is the best way whether you read listen to it, having all the books at one time, flow from one to another In the first book, you get the background on the five friends You can see the trouble brewing on the horizon The second book detailed each person s issue Every one of the Book Babes had a a significant issue in some aspect of her relationship The third book ties everything together as an almost tragedy pushes everyone toward a resolut I listened to this Trilogy via Audible I think this is the best way whether you read listen to it, having all the books at one time, flow from one to another In the first book, you get the background on the five friends You can see the trouble brewing on the horizon The second book detailed each person s issue Every one of the Book Babes had a a significant issue in some aspect of her relationship The third book ties everything together as an almost tragedy pushes everyone toward a resolution of their issue and ultimately to a HEA.Eric G Dove did an excellent job with the narration on this book He made you feel all the feels The book was chock full of emotion Happiness, sadness, anger, grief, fear, uncertainty, vulnerability, and love There were moments of suspense, a sense of danger, and feelings of distress Admittedly, there are so many people in this book that it was a bit difficult to get the right Book Babe with the right partner and situation, but it was well worth the effort. There was also the tie to Sweetgrass Springs with Michael s character I am hoping he gets a book and maybe we can see what happens with him and Laken.I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book, and I only had to stop to sleep Lol I voluntarily listened to and reviewed this book

Well written trilogy by Jean Brashear I always enjoy listening or reading her stories In the audible I was not feeling connected to the other books in the Texas Heroes until one of the characters spoke of being related to Ian of Sweetgrass Springs Otherwise, none of the other main characters were relatable to any of the other stories Unfortunately, it did not hold my attention as much as all the other books So, by the time it got to the middle of the second book, I had all the characters so Well written trilogy by Jean Brashear I always enjoy listening or reading her stories In the audible I was not feeling connected to the other books in the Texas Heroes until one of the characters spoke of being related to Ian of Sweetgrass Springs Otherwise, none of the other main characters were relatable to any of the other stories Unfortunately, it did not hold my attention as much as all the other books So, by the time it got to the middle of the second book, I had all the characters sorted out It could be said that if I read the ebook, I would have referred back to previous pages to keep all the characters sorted out in my head But in listening to the audible, it s not quite so easy to just go back a few pages to pick up the names There are several characters, married and unmarried with displays of compassion, selfishness , anger, disappointment, jealousy, love, fear, and bravery Friendships and marriages were tested No matter how old one is there is always much to learn in life and relationships That is the message these characters learned I received a complimentary copy of this audible I choose to leave an honest review

This is Texas Ties, Texas Troubles, and Texas Together, and you must read all three for the whole story It s about five women in a book club, but they spend the entire time talking and sometimes gossiping Ava s children are grown, and she is moving upward as an author Ellie has five children who are getting older, and she is freaking out about who she is Sylvie owns a gallery and is struggling with the loss of her mother s health Luisa is a single mother, raising her children, putting herse This is Texas Ties, Texas Troubles, and Texas Together, and you must read all three for the whole story It s about five women in a book club, but they spend the entire time talking and sometimes gossiping Ava s children are grown, and she is moving upward as an author Ellie has five children who are getting older, and she is freaking out about who she is Sylvie owns a gallery and is struggling with the loss of her mother s health Luisa is a single mother, raising her children, putting herself through school, and working hard to make ends meet Laken is an attorney who never wants to settle Most of the women are selfish and refuse to see their own issues I did not like Luisa s pain and subsequent revelation had to be tied to romantic feelings of Tom He is a lawyer and friend, why make something that was not there and felt out of place Her jealous coworker wanted to make trouble, and it should have been left at that Ava then felt vindicated in blaming all her issues at Louisa s feet Totally unnecessary Luisa was also left out of the epilogue I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book

I found The Book Babes very confusing at times I found all the women Luisa, Sylvie, Ellie, Ava and Laken all selfish in one or another Some was understandable, some I did not understand My favorite character out of the bunch was Laken she makes no bones about who she is Ellie and Ava frustrated me and their lack of working at their marriages Sylvie as understandable as her fear is, I really wanted to smack her I get that she wants to protect Gabe, it is very misguided She needs to let Gab I found The Book Babes very confusing at times I found all the women Luisa, Sylvie, Ellie, Ava and Laken all selfish in one or another Some was understandable, some I did not understand My favorite character out of the bunch was Laken she makes no bones about who she is Ellie and Ava frustrated me and their lack of working at their marriages Sylvie as understandable as her fear is, I really wanted to smack her I get that she wants to protect Gabe, it is very misguided She needs to let Gabe make his own decisions, he s a grown man for crying out loud I felt Luisa s loneliness but her feelings for Tom was wrong She does figure it out, thank goodness Overall I found The Book Babes a setup for Laken and Michael and something about Sweetgrass This is an okay story, I hope the next is better
