35 I knew human females were not rational StarsIt would seem that there isn’t a romantic genre that Katie ReusSavannah Stuart cannot turn her hand to and do extremely well Claimed by the Warrior is book three in the Lumineta series Lumineta being a planet the planet where a large number of humans ended up relocating after Earth’s demise The year is 2237 and females on Lumineta hold a revered position it is also not uncommon for them to be mated to two males I am not a huge fan of multiple partners in my romance and luckily Con is so smitten with Leilani in Claimed by the Warrior he bucks the trend and decides that they should be exclusive Leilani although friendly with his brother Cyr doesn’t have feelings for him in that way and agrees that one on one is better than two on one This was a uick sexy read The warriors jostling for Leilani’s heart were sweet and sometimes funny with their blunt honesty I loved Con and his growly alpha overprotective jealousy and did I mention that Lumineta men can elongate their tonguesARC generously provided via Netgalley and it was a pleasure to provide the above honest review

ARC ReviewOriginally post at Love Affair with an e ReaderShort enough to read in one sitting this little novella packs a spunky punch To me this reads like an episode of a television series Having not read the previous books it’s enough to complete a storyline and peaks enough interest to make me want to go looking for This story has all the ingredients of a nice sci fi romance We are on an alien planet populated by humanoids The Northern territories are the domain of the warriors – protectors and special ops soldiers Being in an inclement weather the environment is perfect for military training but not so much for attracting women As such any single female entering the territory is subject to being held hostage for a moon cycle while the males try to woo her the Ducereco law The leader of the warriors Conlaoch has no interest in claiming a mate He is focused on leading his men to ensure they are the best trained and most prepared unitLeilani is one of a group of women rescued from a dying Earth by the Lumenata She inadvertently goes into the Northern Territory knowing nothing of law She reluctantly agrees to stay because she is inextricably attracted to Con Of course one thing leads to another and soon they are in each other’s armsThis is no intricate love story and yes there are some things in which you have to suspend reality The insta love is fast – one moment Leilani is hating life and in the next she is in love Yet despite all this I really did like this storyIn A NutshellIt was sweet and short and it is worth your time if you want a one sitting romance Thank you to the author for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review The opinions are herein are my own and not a paid review

4 'Elongated Tongue' Stars This was just what I needed Claimed by the Warrior is a short sexy story that can be read as a standaloneLeilani was a survivor from Earth Her job at Lumineta reuired her to travel to the remote mountains to help design new facilities for the warrior clan there When the male warriors found out she was not mated they went berserk One of them even called 'Ducereco Law' The law stated that she had to stay with them for one moon cycle for courtingShe was pissed that no one told her She's stuck and feels like a hostage Con is the leader of the clan and he doesn't want anything to do women He thinks they are all selfish and mischievous Clearly human females made males insane There are a lot of misconceptions about human females The rumors say that they are beautiful but frail delicate and irrational There were some moments where I actually laughed because the men were so strong but clueless It was really cute Of course Con and Leilani fall in love but how does Con make her want to stay in the cold mountains? Maybe his ELONGATED TONGUE will keep her there This was a perfect uick read

This author constantly entertains her readers with her imagination Whether it be shifters or even romantic suspense and now I find that she has turned her hand to sci fi romance too Rest assured though its still the sort of book that will have you eagerly turning the pages of this fast paced sexy story This is apparently part of a series but I had no trouble reading it as a stand aloneSet on planet Lumineta where males outnumber females we meet human Leilani who travels into the mountains to help work on a project Problems arise pretty uickly though when it's realised that she is alone and isn't mated The solution is to keep her one full moon cycle whilst the lonely males try to capture her interest but in their male dominated society it's two males to every one woman Ok this was uick and I really liked the snarky heroine Hold her hostage and just see how awkward a woman can really be I also enjoyed the dialogue when the males tried to understand and learn about human femalesAs for the romance if menage a trois not your thing fear not as this author writes about a fierce alpha with no intention of sharing his prize There's enough of a subplot to engage interest and the ideas whilst futuristic fitted the story very well Oh and lest you forget Con may appear human but there's a really big difference and its not the one you might thinkSo this is science fiction but it's not hard core or dry This is most definitely a romance and best of all a happy endingI was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review

Claimed by the warrior is the third book in the Lumineta series but it’s actually the first book I read in the seriesSavannah Stuart aka Katie Reus is a brilliant author and this book proves it I’ve read almost everything by her and yet reading and alien book still manages to capture my attentionWhen Leilani finds herself stranded in Luminera she’s beyond angry especially when she finds out that she will have to stay for a month since the law clearly states that a non mated female can only travel to that part of the planet on the grounds she strays for a month As much as it frustrates her Leilani can’t but follow the rulesCon is the leader of his people and as such he’s way too busy to ever consider having a mate let alone a human mate But when Leilani needs a safe place to stay in a territory full of unmated males Con is the one to take her in Claimed by the Warrior was real fun to read I enjoyed meeting Con and Leilani Despite their differences there was a bond between them that helped them realize that they aren’t as different as they thinkFull of romance suspense action and aliens Con and Leilani’s story was amazingARC provided in exchange for an honest review

I really loved Con something a lot like triumph glittered in his eyes but he continued “So we will be exclusive” Con was all alpha but he had a sweet and caring side and I loved that he’d never been with a human so he had to force himself to calm down She might not act fragile but he wanted to be careful He wanted to do this right—because this couldn’t be a one time thing Although this was a uick read it packed a punch and I loved the book
