Yet again my whims are giving me such magnificent gifts This was the last issue available at my local comic shop So I'm hoping they'll continue to get this series Because I feel like my life will be totally bereft without it AND WHY IS THIS COMIC NOT AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD? Everyone should be able to experience this glorious comicWith all that said I have only one problem with this comic and that is its not set in space I think everything should take place in the vast expanse between stars But other than that HOLY SHIT THIS COMIC IS MAGNIFICENT Victorian lesbian butterfly shape shifting ladies hell bent on revenge OH MY GODS THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS COMIC AND THE ART OH THE ART IS SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL AND I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS COMIC AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ISSUE

Okay so initially looking at the rating of 25s it may seem like I didn't like this that's not strictly true but I did feel like we didn't really get enough for me to fully judge this so I think I will probably at least try out issue #2 before I decide it's not for meThe story here follows two ladies one a married woman the other her ladies' maid They are secretly in love and so they plot about how to free themselves from the tyrannical man who is married to one of them This results in some rather gross and greusome scenes I have to admit and also insects hence the title I do think it's got a lot of potential but I don't think it's uite there yet and as it's a shorter comic at only 22 pgs instead of the usual 30ish due to ads at the back of the comic I think I need to give it the benefit of the doubt and allow the next issue a chance to sway my rating tooThe artwork of this series is certainly not my favourite style wise as there are some very abstract expressions and line work at times however I have to say i did love the colour tones and the period costuming I do think that with a bit refinement this style would be one I did really like but as it stands I found myself a little distracted from the story every now and then On the whole bucket loads of potential but it's not there yet and as it stands it's in my weird but interesting category than in the I Love It category 25s overall so far

Whoa This is dark twisted and gorily satisfying Almost as disturbing as it is intriguing The art is really nice setting the tone well for the story It's a crazy beginning to a series that I hope lasts for uite a whileWhat's it about? Erm In old England a lady finds a way to get rid of her cruel husband and live happily ever after with her lover her handmaid The handmaid's solution involves the mysterious ability to reproduce like insects So not only can they get rid of her husband but the ladies can have their own biological baby together ?It's pretty darn cool Read it

  6. Hilary Hilary says:

An interesting period piece with a fantasy twist Possibly one of my favourite aspects being the lesbian relationship The main character who is of class and colour treated with the racism that is expected at the time It'll be interesting to see where this goes and how The one aspect of this comic that I truly am not a fan of is the wife who can only escape her abusive relationship by killing her husband trope

  7. October Rose October Rose says:

Okay so why does this remind me of the 1986 movie the fly which in a way is a good thing because I enjoyed it The storyline was easy to follow and revealing from the beginning however the artwork was just ok it could have been better I'm definitely going to continue with this series and see where it takes me and I especially recommend this to anyone who likes insects and hybrids

  8. Allison Allison says:
