This book is surprisingly good It's obviously intended for very young children but I found myself smiling as I was reading it Basically we have a number of non threatening monsters getting ready for bed They wash up brush their teeth put on pajamas go to the bathroom and say goodnight but most of those things are done with a twist It's a bit ridiculous in spots but also pretty amusingThe surprise factor will be gone after the first read through so I don't know how often kids will want to read this one But it definitely seems like a good book for winding down at bedtime

I chose this book for the fantasy category Monsters Go Night Night is a delightful book for very young children Each two page spread features a monster performing a task to prepare for bed and choices for your child For instance the text reads Monsters eat bedtime snacks Which snack do monsters eat? And there are pictures of a glass of milk a carrot a slice of bread and an umbrella Flip the page and the monster is of course eating the umbrella I think this book is so fun because of the humor and the silly monster illustrations Aaron Zenz may have created a franchise I can see lots of other monster books in the future
