    Sarah s Song by Vicky Whedbee is a charming story full of heart with just enough suspense to keep you reading It s a great read full of rich history and fantastic characters I don t often pick up historical fiction, but I m glad I did with this one Here s why The story is set in 1940s Appalachia in a small rural town After tragedy hits one family, Sarah must hold together the rest of her family, but she s keeping a huge secret that threatens the harmony of said family Jericho is a Native Am Sarah s Song by Vicky Whedbee is a charming story full of heart with just enough suspense to keep you reading It s a great read full of rich history and fantastic characters I don t often pick up historical fiction, but I m glad I did with this one Here s why The story is set in 1940s Appalachia in a small rural town After tragedy hits one family, Sarah must hold together the rest of her family, but she s keeping a huge secret that threatens the harmony of said family Jericho is a Native American whose adoptive father is an abusive prick who keeps him locked away He has no idea what the meaning of family is Each story is intertwined beautifully, though I don t want to give too much away I enjoyed the wonderfully written characters, but the setting here steals the show Whedbee gives such care and detail, which is so important for a good historical fiction story There is some romance here as well, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and I am definitely looking forward to seeing what happens to these characters in the subsequent sequels.If you are looking for a good, clean book with strong Christian themes and a ton of heart, Sarah s Song is for you The ending is amazing, and I did not see that twist coming I highly recommend this one

    Author Vicky Whedbee, has written an extraordinary story taken place in the 1940 s, Sarah s Song, which is truly touching the heart The Characters are richly written as the narrative I particularly loved the character, Jericho This is a script that will bring tears and love, a blend of emotions, a well written pace of experiences that brings a tight association to each character s role I would read this story again, highly recommend.

    Sarah s Song surprised me I expected to like this book It seemed a warm and cozy read that I could disappear into at the end of a stressful day a literary equivalent of Calgon, take me away for those of us old enough to know the reference I d finished reading Where the Crawdads Sing, which I d loved, then another book, which I didn t, and I wanted something to bring back the feeling I d gotten from Delia Owens book That s when
