After the first book, I was super excited to get started on this book Nate captured my attention in the first book and I I was really intrigued to find out if the guy could redeem himself Having his own book really sat well with me, we get to see the guy he is underneath the assassin I love this authors way of writing, it s current and fresh and the subject matter is different I mean, who d have though shark shifters would grab your attention It s make believe but also believable Nate s ch After the first book, I was super excited to get started on this book Nate captured my attention in the first book and I I was really intrigued to find out if the guy could redeem himself Having his own book really sat well with me, we get to see the guy he is underneath the assassin I love this authors way of writing, it s current and fresh and the subject matter is different I mean, who d have though shark shifters would grab your attention It s make believe but also believable Nate s character is very much the alpha assassin but there s also the softer side to him, the guy he wants to be, not just the trained killer but the one that has a place with another Someone perhaps like Sophia In the first book we saw the side to him that he didn t want people to see, he was hell bent on killing but when it came to the crunch , he just couldn t do it After that he became embarrassed, he believed he d gone soft, so what better way to get revenge, than to kill the sister of the one he couldn t Except that doesn t work out quite so well, as the story will tell you This second book is a fantastic instalment It again has all the elements of the authors writing in the first book and features another hot alpha male What s not to love I cannot wait for the third book, I ll patiently await it but secretly curse the author for not writing quicker

I received an arc of this book from the author for an honest opinion.I liked that Nathan was a shark shifter as that is totally a unique take on the whole shifter genre I thought that Sophie was a decent character although she could have been a stronger character like Annemette from Danielle s Unnatural Alliances series The chemistry she had with Nathan was questionable as he was such a cold and heartless character I thought that Sophie was too forgiving She should have made him suffer a bi I received an arc of this book from the author for an honest opinion.I liked that Nathan was a shark shifter as that is totally a unique take on the whole shifter genre I thought that Sophie was a decent character although she could have been a stronger character like Annemette from Danielle s Unnatural Alliances series The chemistry she had with Nathan was questionable as he was such a cold and heartless character I thought that Sophie was too forgiving She should have made him suffer a bit , when she realized was his true initial intent was This book was an entertaining read and did have some intrigue and suspense

Read my review for Sea Assassin 1, BetrayalFavorite quote from Redemption Sharks don t have hobbies, they have objectives It is nice to see a softer side of Nate because he is the Villain in the first novel Betrayal His affection for Darcy stopped him from killing Gabriel, Darcy s boyfriend, but he still feels like a failure somehow with not going through with it He knows that Sophia is whom Darcy cares about the most next to Gabriel, so he plans to take his revenge by killing her He is just Read my review for Sea Assassin 1, BetrayalFavorite quote from Redemption Sharks don t have hobbies, they have objectives It is nice to see a softer side of Nate because he is the Villain in the first novel Betrayal His affection for Darcy stopped him from killing Gabriel, Darcy s boyfriend, but he still feels like a failure somehow with not going through with it He knows that Sophia is whom Darcy cares about the most next to Gabriel, so he plans to take his revenge by killing her He is just a product of his upbringing as much as Lexa is The clan leader, his father, Marcus is on his deathbed, and he is to be the next clan leader so his revenge is motivated by his failure to do the right thing according to the rules that the Shark Shifter Assassins live by I noticed a hint of jealousy from Nate of Gabriel Gabriel has abandoned the clan and is living a happy life with a woman he loves near the beach and Nate doesn t get thanks for it.If, I had been Sophia I would have been suspicious of his sudden appearance in my apartment Sophia is still young, a University student, Nate is her first crush, her head is clouded by his feelings for him even if she knows what he is She is so adorable, but it feels awkward and wrong somehow because there is obviously a big gap in their maturity level.Seeing their lives and personalities, it just makes sense why they would fall for each other Nate is so smooth and hard, which would be attractive to an unexperienced young woman, and the reasons he gives for his sudden appearance can melt a girl s heart If I didn t know that Nate didn t know that Sophie had a crush on him, I would have thought he was playing on her feelings for him to get close enough to kill her.I love the relationship development between Sophia and Nate It starts out as a revenge thing, then it becomes a love thing Sophia is every thing that Lexa is not.An assassin also, Lexa is from the Head Clan from Greece, and the natural progression is for Nate to marry her when his father dies because she is from a powerful family too She is too cold, practical and ambitious enough to blackmail Nate to get what she wants, power, even she knows that Nate has no feelings for her, and that makes it easier for Nate to fall for Sophie as they spendtime together She is a sweet girl and takes him away from his disorderly life I had a problem with Nate s part of the dialogue in the novel Considering how he was raised and the people he grew up with, I expectedgrumpiness from him.Nate is obviously confused, the reasons he gives himself for not going through with his original plan to kill her are weak I just like Nate s character development, his growing feelings for Sophie make him realize that Gabriel s friendship had kept him sane amid his father s abuse and Sophie makes him human. It is nice to see he has some moral qualities even if he is an assassin Him standing up to his father is epic and his reaction after Nate confesses he is love with a permie human, priceless.Sophie s explosion at Darcy is unfair Totally ungrateful Darcy made so many sacrifices for her, giving up her dreams so Sophie could have a roof over her head, food in her stomach and a good education This could have been avoided if she had communicated her feelings to Darcy.I loved the story Can be read as a standalone.Hint Please Danielle, I am looking forward to Lexa s story.Foreviews visit www.etherealediting.net

Temperatures are rising the moment Nate and Sophia get in a room together so get ready for a bitbite this time round, and not just from some sharp shark teeth. Now its time we see a different side to our Nate Not the shark bearing teeth side, well unless you ask really nicely that is This side seems to be one that only Sophia could pull out of him One he wasn t even aware he wanted to come to the surface until Sophia managed to get under his skin Her sister Darcy and Gabe might not like Temperatures are rising the moment Nate and Sophia get in a room together so get ready for a bitbite this time round, and not just from some sharp shark teeth. Now its time we see a different side to our Nate Not the shark bearing teeth side, well unless you ask really nicely that is This side seems to be one that only Sophia could pull out of him One he wasn t even aware he wanted to come to the surface until Sophia managed to get under his skin Her sister Darcy and Gabe might not like it but it seems for once she s the one calling the shots. So after the fail for Nate at the end of Betrayal he went away to lick his wounds and stew in his own anger He knows he said he would never return to the bay to cause trouble for Darcy or Gabe again but he is consumed with the need for revenge If he can t get Darcy, his one time only real human friend, then what better way to hurt them both than by going after her sister Sophia His plan is simple, find Sophia and kill her He thinks he can get it done before he has to take over the clan With his father on the way out he is all set to take the reins, whether he really wants them is another matter Finding her is one thing but killing her is something else entirely From the first moment they are alone you know when he sneaks into her dorm room to kill her with her hopping around trying to get her shoes off by throwing them in any direction she gets a shock when one doesn t hit the floor Acting on instinct Nate caught it, he had plenty of time to do the deed before she screamed but something held him back He just thinks that he will try the next time, easy to do as she makes it clear she would be happy to see him again Even after her friend hits him over the head to protect her yep I was laughing quite a bit here But again nothing happens it s like for the first time he is himself without the clan issues beating down on him when he is with her The closer they get thedanger she could be in from outside sources.Funny how even though Sophia knows exactly what Nate is she trusts him straight off the bat not completely wise with his reasons for finding her in the first place but she is just way too intrigued by the shark he turns into The fact that she had a major crush on him while growing up only fuels her curiosityTaking it one step further by getting in the water with him I mean when he turns back to human and makes her pulse race in another way I m all for it but the swimming with him circling the boat they were once on, nope I m sorry too much for shark phobic me This is almost the turning point for Nate where he sees her differently, as someone for him perhaps Thought her friends Grace and Hannah were a laugh and their pizza race was fun Totally something you want to try out after a night out when you are craving food To call for a pizza and try to race back home before it gets there, if the pizza guy wins then you have to pay a bigger tip Jack aka Snack Attack pizza guy was amusing too and the perfect person for Hannah when she finally got her head out of the clouds to see him.Lexa was interesting and clearly ready for power to take over the clan with Nate when his dad passes A match made from the time they were ten to draw two powerful clans together Not something that Sophia really wants to find out when she thinks they are starting to get serious Theyou hear about Nate s dad Marcus theyou understand how Nate became the way he is and why after he meets Sophia he might really want to change He just needs to think about what he really wants in life and go for it before he loses something special.I was a little surprised with how Sophia treated her sister at the end as everything she has ever done has always been for her But then you can see how she would feel a lot of pressure on her from it, so both sides valid I guess All set for part three where a battle might be brewing and warring friends might need to come back together to keep everyone they care for safe.I received a copy of this book from the author via Caldwell Publishing for my honest review.https readingnook84.wordpress.com 2

This book was fardeveloped than the last, and perhaps it s because Nate is to be next in line as clan leader, and so we get a closer look at what the lives of shark shifters tend to be like Which is cold and cruel It really helped you understand Nate, and what he was going through, and really how he felt about the humans he d been around It was interesting how he didn t get why the others found silly things fun and amusing, and him trying to figure out why he ever hesitated to kill Soph This book was fardeveloped than the last, and perhaps it s because Nate is to be next in line as clan leader, and so we get a closer look at what the lives of shark shifters tend to be like Which is cold and cruel It really helped you understand Nate, and what he was going through, and really how he felt about the humans he d been around It was interesting how he didn t get why the others found silly things fun and amusing, and him trying to figure out why he ever hesitated to kill Sophia And Sophia is awesome She s fun and really relatable in trying to figure out what s up with their relationship Liking Nate even though her sister has given a veiled excuse to stay away, and wanting to see him in shark form really makes her a fun counterpoint to Nate s very serious and brooding personality I also really liked the addition of her friends and all that s going on in their life and the quirky things they do It made this story feelalive, than the limited view we got with Betrayal when we basically only had the 3 main characters to get to know Really though, the ending of this book, what the hell is that I m not even sure I want to know, but I do know I won t rest until I find out
