voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received This is like a 3.5 for me An almost there 4.I liked this It s one of theunique stories I ve read in a long time and it had a lot of old elements that can t go wrong secret organizations, powerful MC hidden and left ignorant I also loved that she was a lawyer for children or as one of the characters called her, a social worker in lawyer s clothing Children are a personal must keep safe at all costs thing for me so seeing a cha voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received This is like a 3.5 for me An almost there 4.I liked this It s one of theunique stories I ve read in a long time and it had a lot of old elements that can t go wrong secret organizations, powerful MC hidden and left ignorant I also loved that she was a lawyer for children or as one of the characters called her, a social worker in lawyer s clothing Children are a personal must keep safe at all costs thing for me so seeing a character with the same determination and dedication was refreshing I loved her passion for her job, and with her, I also cried when she couldn t do anything Seeing something so frustrating get introduced to a paranormal world, where you don t have to be so helpless any, definitely got meinvested. My only issue with this book was that somewhere in the middle of things, the dialogue and monologue began to get a bit repetitive Nikki was saying the same thing to Garrett like four times, Garrett was really just saying don t do that in different ways throughout the few chapters of intensity It s those little things that really got to me because they kept taking me out of the story flow But that aside, I thought it was overall good Even when it went from amazingly engaging to amazingly frustrating, I still thought it was good for getting me so worked up over something that wasn t real I really liked the unique qualities of dream casters, how it dropped me in one harsh reality only to make me realize that there s a possible solution one could only dream of cue paranormal , like WOW There were less than a handful of slow moments in this book for me, most of it having to do with delving deeper into the past for the plot s foundation I thought the ending was surprising, and at first I didn t know how I felt about it, but by the last page, it really ended up being one of theawesome endings I ve come across.I ll definitely be keeping an eye out for this author because of how most of the story made the reading experience amazing for me
