    This King is not the TV Larry but an old friend and confidant of the semi famous writer Willie Morris It's a biography of Willie and the ups and downs of his life I was attracted to the book because as a student at the University of Texas journalism school I'd often see Willie in the journalism building I never had a class with him although he was controversial editor of the Daily Texan and I avidly read his provocative and well written editorials and columns I later read his autobiographical works and particularly liked North Toward Home

    Enjoyable book It should be taken into consideration that this is written by a friend Not the television Larry King but the Texas writerI have North Toward Home somewhere on my shelves and I have read My Dog Skip He lived long enough to see the movie of Skip but not long enough for its opening

    If you enjoy Willie Morris North Toward Home My Dog Skip etc you might enjoy this biography written by a long time friend It is biased but good

    Talk about coincidences I just finished reading My Dog Skip and My Cat Skip McGee When I visited the book shop again what book should I see but this one? Of course I had to get it now I am in awe of Willie Morris' writingThis is an amazing biography by Larry L King Now I know about Mr Morris' life I am in awe of him
