I think a accurate assesment for me would be 35 Stars but I have given it 4 stars as I did very much enjoy reading this bookAsmodeus is a fallen angel a demon who fell in the second angelic revolt and has spent a vast amount of his immortal life being punished for this in The Abyss which is basically heavens torture chamber That is until Brianna a witch accidently summons him from his torment From there their relationship develops he feels obliged at first to protect her from the angels wrath for setting her free but becomes attracted to and starts caring for her However Brianna finds herself stuck between wanting to help the mandemon she is growing to love or being sent to The Abyss herself if she doesn't find a way to kill himI very much enoyed reading this book it had the basic elements of a story I enjoy angsty tortured hero with a painful past and a heavenly body a strong heroine discovering her powers and a bit of action thrown in as well It also starts building up an interesting world of angels demons and vampires where the good guys are not who you expect them to be The romance between the two main characters Asmodeus and Brianna however I didn't find all that convincing For some reason it just didn't click with me I liked each character indivdually and they did make a good couple but I think for me some chemistry was missing there Having said that the sex scenes were good in this book they were hot but they happened at the right time and this was about them falling in love rather then them falling into bed What I liked most though was the idea behind the books the concept of angels demons and vampires and how they all fit together So although the writing wasn't as good as other PNR I still enjoyed it and will be seeking out Dawn McClure's other books Would recommend to readers who like tortured heroes angels and demons painful past witches and magic and vampires in their books

A must read for urban fantasy and paranormal romance fans There's not much I can say that won't spoil things outside of what's already mentioned in the synopsis but I have to say Dawn McClure is uickly becoming one of my favorite authors I can honestly say that just based on her two books I've read Azazel and Asmodeus she's ranking right up there with JR Ward and Nalini Singh for me and that's a high compliment trust me

With Ms McClure's typical fast paced trash talking zeal I was immediately swept into the world of vampire assasins and fallen angels But be warned this book will make you cry There's tortured hero and then there's Asmodeus I felt so bad for everything he was put through by then end that I just wanted to give him a huge hug at least ; Fabulous book

Non existent plot in this book as well I'm not sure why I continue reading this series There are no wings involved And absolutely no connection with the previous book

Didn't expect much from this book and unsurprisingly didn't get much in returnIt was too stereotypical for my taste the whole prospect of falling in love with a demon a novice witch summoned seemed toobland However this book did have some interesting details on its own which somehow kept me hooked and allowed me to get through the book without flipping it shut Asmodeus as much as an asshole he tended to act had a painful past which made him kill off his kids before they turned into something beyond their childlike selves acted as This in turn made him restrained into the Abyss for even having kids in the first place coupled with the pain of killing his very own blood made him hellbent for revengeOther than a mildly steamy sex scenethere isn't really much this book had to offer

I felt this one was just OK I didn't feel the chemistry between Asmodeus and Brianna as I did with the first in the series Azazel In my opinion the protagonist was lacking a personalityshe wasn't one of my favorite characters Asmodeus is a tortured hero who accidentally gets a chance at love The world building is great and I enjoyed demonsangelsvampires and witches all co existing with each other It was good but I think the author could have developed the story line better

This book was okay Some of the scenes were too confusing for me to follow while others were lacking in detail The chemistry between the main characters was on hot passion off luke warm However the world building of the many species was wonderful I rated it 35

I wish the book had spent less time on the magic witch y aspects and on the angels

  9. gert gert says:

good not as good as the first imho yadda but definitely provided insight into this whole world of fallen angels of different levels etc
