I liked the story and I liked he characters, but there was one thing that really bugged me and didn t quite let me enjoy it the overused and sometimes unnecessary accented dialogues They really slowed me down and I even had to guess what they were saying most of the times I get that they are sometimes important to give the characters authenticity, but for me it was just too much.

Rarely do you find an author that can hold you spellbound, but Ms Garlock has a way of doing just that. Her characters are real They don t do things out of character, but if they do, they face the consequences. This was such an unusual book because it took place in Missouri before it was even a state It was really a new frontier type of book.Annie Lash and Jefferson Merrick were perfect together I loved their story, and I loved Will and Callie s story, and we can t forget Light and Maggie I wo Rarely do you find an author that can hold you spellbound, but Ms Garlock has a way of doing just that. Her characters are real They don t do things out of character, but if they do, they face the consequences. This was such an unusual book because it took place in Missouri before it was even a state It was really a new frontier type of book.Annie Lash and Jefferson Merrick were perfect together I loved their story, and I loved Will and Callie s story, and we can t forget Light and Maggie I would love to have readabout them Free spirits Ahhhhhhhhhh. This was an older book, but great by any days standards.Wonderful book Well done, Ms Garlock

view spoiler This was not my favorite Garlock book First of all, Annie Lash hate the title Hearing the name Annie Lash or Annielove constantly throughout book is extremely annoying Can t you just call her Annie once in a while You d think there were several Anne s in the story to make the differentiation Also, the accent speech thing does get on ones nerves In my opinion, the hero was kind of a douche, but the heroine kept giving in hide spoiler rounded up to 3 stars view spoiler This was not my favorite Garlock book First of all, Annie Lash hate the title Hearing the name Annie Lash or Annielove constantly throughout book is extremely annoying Can t you just call her Annie once in a while You d think there were several Anne s in the story to make the differentiation Also, the accent speech thing does get on ones nerves In my opinion, the hero was kind of a douche, but the heroine kept giving in hide spoiler rounded up to 3 stars

This heroine, Annie Lash, is muchsatisfying than the one in WILD SWEET WILDERNESS the first book in the series Dorothy Garlock neatly enfolds her story within the framework of a historical fact Aaron Burr s trial for treason. In this tale, Burr s henchmen are trying to kill the 2 heroes of this book frontiersmen Jefferson Merrick and Will. The only women in the West in the early years were soiled doves Men put down their money and spent time with the sporting ladies This did not r This heroine, Annie Lash, is muchsatisfying than the one in WILD SWEET WILDERNESS the first book in the series Dorothy Garlock neatly enfolds her story within the framework of a historical fact Aaron Burr s trial for treason. In this tale, Burr s henchmen are trying to kill the 2 heroes of this book frontiersmen Jefferson Merrick and Will. The only women in the West in the early years were soiled doves Men put down their money and spent time with the sporting ladies This did not require any emotional attachment from the men Jefferson is a perfect example of the man interested in sex but not really thinking about what the woman wanted. When ladies trekked to the wilderness, they brought along ideas of romantic love and a shared life In other words, women who came west had to teach men about feelings Garlock shows the natural conflict that women felt about western men being looked upon as breeders and little else.Annie Lash is a strong character she holds out for what she wants.Callie and Will s story almost overshadowed the one with the two main characters Annie Lash and Jefferson Callie was married to Jefferson s brother and he d abandoned Callie and the children sometime before I think we can all identify with a woman who is married to an awful man but loves another. The final book, ALMOST EDEN, covers the story between Lightbody and Maggie.Annie Lash1 Wild Sweet Wilderness 1985 2 Annie Lash 1985 3 Almost Eden 1995
