I have decided to rewrite my review of this book because I felt that my original one was a little harsh Its not that I feel differently about it but I don't have to be so hard with my description So here we go SPOILERS by the wayI really really didn't like this book It just was not for me I found the main character Samantha to be ridiculously naive wishy washy and it seemed as if she was guaranteed to always make the wrong decisions She somehow never seemed to learn from any of her mistakes and was determined to ignore any evidence that indicated something she didn't like to the point of almost killing herself on than one occasion Honestly I can't figure out why the hero Caleb even stuck with her at all Caleb was an ok character Your basic alpha male hero and I liked him well enough but Samantha drove me crazy The story itself was kind of all over the place with a lot of it seeming to be kind of roughly stuck together The whole werewolf thing for instance just didn't seem to fit well into the story I also don't get how zombies have been roaming about for decades but nobody has noticed them This makes no sense to me at all and seems very improbable Also the fact that zombies were made in a lab but somehow it became known uickly that were wolves are immune to their bite is confusing to me since no one else in all the human population knows that either one exists The inconsistency of the history of how any of these things came to be was very hard to ignore and made reading the book difficult None of it was explained to any satisfaction All of that being said I will give this book points for being an original take on the zombie genre Though I didn't like it at all I think if it was rewritten to make sense then the idea has some potential Samantha would have to be completely changed though because she is a complete twit and there is no way I can be nice about that Anyway Lori Devoti if you read my previous review I'm sorry I was so hard on you Even if I didn't like your book its still an amazing accomplishment to have written and publish a novel Zombi Moon was not for me but good luck with all your future books

This was a refreshing new paranormal story that I really loved There were so many great things about it 1 It is an actual paranormal romance not one of those stories where 2 people are thrown together under extreme circumstances and have sex so many times that the chemicals produce by sex make their bodies thing they are in love This one was cleverly plotted so that they came in contact and showed how their relationship built and how his otherness was reacted to 2 It was shown from the perspective of the main male character and he is definitely the type of rounded character you want to get into the mind of 3 It was well plotted The twists and turns kept catching me off guard the entire book Halfway through I had a moment when I thought I new what was going to play out but than it twisted again filling me with relief 4 The 3rd person point of view and the switching back and forth from his to hers perspective was well done and kept the pace moving The only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars was because I never really came to 'care' about the heroine She just didn't hook my interest and I never completely got over her reason for getting in contact I'd give it 4255

Zombie Moon was a fun uick read Caleb Locke is a known zombie hunter The blogs all say he's the one to go to for your zombie problems Samantha Wagner's best friend Allison has been kidnapped by zombies and she's looking for Caleb to help herIn this world that Devoti has created lycanthropes are immune to the bite of zombies This makes Caleb a werewolf the perfect hunter He spots Sam battling zombies in an alley and cannot believe she's still alive She doesn't seem to know what she's doing and he's not about to help her But as with all heroes he can't leave her behind and soon the two of them are working togetherShe explains that her best friend has been kidnapped by zombies Caleb's not sure what to believe bc he knows that zombies eat people they don't kidnap them She has videos to prove that somehow there are some zombies who appear to be controllable Both characters are strong and the two together make a good pairing The story is full of twists that will leave you guessing I really enjoyed the pairing of zombies and werewolves I liked Devoti's writing enough to try to find other books of hers to read in the future

An interesting departure from Devoti's superbly original unbound series this has a werewolf zombie hunter fall for the human woman attempting to manipulate him into rescuing her friend hostage of a mad scientistThe story is pretty good it's fast paced exciting and refreshing to have a paranormal romance with zombie themes I also thought that it really made sense to have werewolves hunting zombies since their lycanthropy makes them immune to zombie bitesWhat I wasn't so keen on were the characters I just wasn't feeling the emotion The hero was a little too perfect and I didn't connect with the heroine particularly I didn't find her that interesting or originalI often criticise paranormal romances for skimping on plot in favour of the romance in this case it's the other way round definitely plot based Still for all that this is a fun light read with an exciting story and likeable enough characters that don't have really stupid names Not a patch on her Unbound series but worth a read

I don't usually pick up these types of series book #91 However I decided to read this one because I'm doing a challenge that needs zombie charactersI was pleasantly surprised to find that I didn't need to read the other 90 books to get the story It seemed to be a stand alone so had a beginning and and endThis was a good story I enjoyed the intrigue and some of the fight seuences I likes how the hero and heroine pull things together I had hoped for a little on the side story with the were pack but maybe in another bookAll in all I was glad I choose to read it Of course this means I may have to check out the whole series to see what it all about

I liked the book it was different for sure Lori Devoti did another excellent job and I really enjoy her NocturnesZombie Moon is about a zombie hunter Caleb who is bent on avenging his family's death and even became a werewolf to do it Werewolves are immune to zombie bitesThe heroine is Samantha her best friend has gone missing and the only way to get her back is to track down Caleb and convince him to help herIf you don't mind dark reads then you should definitly check out this book There's action conflict and romance not with anything undead so don't worryHappy reading

Devoti has a gift for torturing her male characters And I relish itComing from her Unbound series and being a fan of zombie flicks I had my doubts on this one Not everyone can pull off a good zombie story But the beginning impressed me With a strong yet beautifully tortured character such as Caleb I was drawn right in My only disappointment would be that I would have liked a bit detail in the deaths of his family but that's a missing element I can easily overlook
