    Again, functionalism is not the answer And supervenience is an inadequate solution to the consciousness problem, it still denies the reality of the mental world Note to self this has implications for law or freedom because if we do not recognize the reality of the mental world it is hard to say someone came to a decision autonomously and then be able to judge them for it.
