I have to admit, while Klingler did a great job of weaving the plots web of criminals, paper trails, drugs, and stolen artifacts, I was disapointed in the lack of suspense There was never once in this book a time where I felt I just couldn t put it down The romance was very predictable, and even tracking down the bad guy was predictable since she gave away who he was at the beginning The only mystery being of how he was connected to it all and how they would prove it I feel there was a lot o I have to admit, while Klingler did a great job of weaving the plots web of criminals, paper trails, drugs, and stolen artifacts, I was disapointed in the lack of suspense There was never once in this book a time where I felt I just couldn t put it down The romance was very predictable, and even tracking down the bad guy was predictable since she gave away who he was at the beginning The only mystery being of how he was connected to it all and how they would prove it I feel there was a lot of unreached potential with this plot I have to stop at 3 stars

The romance in this book is my favorite that I ve read in a long time Sydney had a lot of fear and personal defenses to overcome, and I love that Justin was so steady and patient and loving I thought the friendship and love they developed for each other was very well done The suspense part was also well done, I think, but I agree with others here that this was muchof a romance than a suspense novel I enjoyed this one so much I went out and got my own copy I ll definitely be reading The romance in this book is my favorite that I ve read in a long time Sydney had a lot of fear and personal defenses to overcome, and I love that Justin was so steady and patient and loving I thought the friendship and love they developed for each other was very well done The suspense part was also well done, I think, but I agree with others here that this was muchof a romance than a suspense novel I enjoyed this one so much I went out and got my own copy I ll definitely be reading this one over and over again

I loved this book I read reviews here saying they were disappointed it didn t havesuspense, but I, personally, though the balance was perfect I love reading romances that have a bit of bad guy conflict weaved in, and this one was just right LOVED the romance between the main characters I felt touched and moved onthan one occasion And the bad guy stuff was enough to keep me biting my nails I really loved this book I ll eagerly look forward to the next book by this author

So mucha romance than suspense story The suspense part was fascinating, but I kept rushing through those parts just to get back to what was going on with Syd and Justin The romance was about healing, trusting and having a little faith Great characters I wonder if the pixie haired girlfriend will get a story soon, or possibly a love interest for Agnes

This book isromance than suspense Either a sequel is planned or some important loose ends weren t tied up in the end I constantly had the feeling the mystery suspense portion was bigger than the author knew how to handle and the romance sounded eerily like another well known LDS author s style It includes the usual B movie cliche of the smart heroine suddenly doing something dumb that, of course, lands her in trouble, and she has to be saved by the cavalry It s well paced, holds the re This book isromance than suspense Either a sequel is planned or some important loose ends weren t tied up in the end I constantly had the feeling the mystery suspense portion was bigger than the author knew how to handle and the romance sounded eerily like another well known LDS author s style It includes the usual B movie cliche of the smart heroine suddenly doing something dumb that, of course, lands her in trouble, and she has to be saved by the cavalry It s well paced, holds the reader s attention, and is a fun light read

When San Francisco reporter Sydney stumbles upon an undercover crime ring it could be the biggest cover up and the biggest story of her career She teams up with Justin, a reporter for the Salt Lake Tribune to bring down this crime network and the man who is at it s head, US Senator from Utah, Robert Longhurst Not much of a thriller as a lame romance I thought the whole thing fell a little flat But if you love romances, you ll really like this book.

This was an enjoyable book, although it was a lot heavier on the relationship romance than on the suspense Even though this wasn t my favorite LDS suspense novel, I will definitely read any other books Erin Klingler writes.
